For 33 years in the market, Skala Cosmetics now announces that it has become 100% vegan. The Minas Gerais brand, originating in Uberaba, announces that it no longer uses any animal ingredients. “In 2015, many consumers asked if we had vegan cosmetics, which was new to us until then. We looked at our portfolio and saw that we had and thought: why not repaginate all products and make them vegan? So since July, all our products carry the 100% vegan label on their labels, ”says Bruna Veneziano, the company’s marketing manager.
The manufacturer says the main challenge during this transition was to find vegan assets to replace those of animal origin that would maintain at least the same performance. Regarding the expectations for the future of vegan cosmetics, the executive believes that “being vegan or sympathetic to the cause is a new attitude of society in general”. “Probably in the future this trend will not be a differential in cosmetics, but a requirement,” he concludes.
